The Federal Antimonopoly Service blocked the growth of tariffs for the export of household waste in the Far East
the 13th of November. /MEDIA TALK/. The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia has reported on the results of a pricing audit in the formation of tariffs for the export of solid household waste in the Far Eastern Federal District.

According to the department, 27 regulations on the elimination of violations were issued to 11 regions. Among such violations are overestimation of waste transportation costs and various unreasonable expenses included in utility tariffs.

As a result, according to the FAS, since October 1, 2024, tariffs for the treatment of MSW for the population have been significantly reduced in the Amur Region, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and the Kamchatka Territory. It is noted that tariffs in Kamchatka were overstated by 29%.

The ministry expects that the measures taken will allow further restraining the growth of tariffs.
