The foreign trade balance of the Russian Federation has reached a surplus of $119 billion

According to the preliminary assessment of the Bank of Russia, the trade surplus of the Russian Federation in January-November 2024 increased by $7.1 billion compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and reached the amount of 118.6 billion US dollars. From January to November 2023, this indicator amounted to $110.7 billion.

In November, there was a decrease in the trade surplus by 31%, to 6.3 billion US dollars compared with the updated value of October ($9.1 billion). This was due to a greater decrease in exports compared to imports. The level of November this year decreased by 34% compared to November 2023, when it reached the amount of $9.5 billion.

According to the Central Bank's baseline forecast, revised on October 25, it is assumed that with the average annual cost of Brent crude oil at $ 80 per barrel, a trade surplus of $61 billion will be achieved by the end of 2024.

According to the results of the first half of 2024, the turnover of foreign trade of the Russian Federation exceeded 21 trillion rubles.
