According to media reports, experts seized documents from the Kaluga tobacco factory, as well as from warehouses and offices of companies dependent on the enterprise. The organization is being heated up for not counting cigarettes and tax evasion.
In particular, counterfeit Marlboro, Kent, Rothmans, as well as Belarusian "Crown Kalipso" were found in the warehouses of the factory. The total number of seized packs exceeded six million. Hundreds of thousands of counterfeit excise stamps of the neighboring state and the Russian Goznak were also found.
Recall that the day before it was reported that in 2024, residents of Russia began to spend more money on cigarettes. This item of citizens' expenses increased by 19% compared to the first half of 2023.
