The government has extended the food embargo until the end of 2026

The relevant resolution was approved by the Government. The list of countries has been expanded, except for the previously included USA, the European Union, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Norway, Ukraine, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland and Liechtenstein, New Zealand has been added there.

The restrictions apply to products such as meat and meat products, fish, vegetable dairy products and other food products. Recall that the ban on the import of food was introduced by presidential decree in 2014. The list of countries subject to retaliatory sanctions has been updated three times, and the ban is extended annually. A year ago, the embargo was extended until December 31, 2024.
