The decision will enter into force on September 1, 2025. However, the ban will not affect audio calls within messengers. The Ministry of Digital Development clarified that the provision of services via Internet telephony is not prohibited, but this requires obtaining a license to carry out this activity. Most bona fide operators already have it, the Ministry of Finance explained, and nothing will change for them. Until now, the legislation has not precisely defined the criteria for obtaining such a license, and this has been used by intruders.
