The grocery delivery market has almost doubled in a year. Experts predict a further decline in indicators

According to Infoline Analytics, which Kommersant cites today, in January-September 2024 it reached 902 billion rubles, showing an annual growth of almost 50%. According to the T-Checkout and T-Data services (part of the T-Bank infrastructure), the average receipt for food delivery in the country averaged 1.16 thousand rubles. 58% of orders were placed in the regions, 31% in Moscow and the region, 11% in St. Petersburg and the region. Market turnover, according to the services, increased by 27% year-on-year.

Among the delivery services, the best result was shown by Scooter, whose turnover increased by 70.7% in 9 months of 2024, to 182.7 billion rubles. However, experts' forecasts for further market growth are not too optimistic, this is primarily due to a shortage of labor. Also, among the reasons for the likely further decrease in delivery volumes, increased spending on the promotion of services is indicated.
