At the same time, the International Energy Agency previously expected an increase in oil demand in the amount of 960 thousand barrels per day in 2024 and a million in 2025.

Experts called insufficient economic growth, as well as electric cars gaining popularity, the reason for lowering the forecast.

The IEA added that in April-June of this year, the indicator slowed down to the lowest level since the fourth quarter of 2022 - 710 thousand b/s. Experts consider the main reason for the decline in oil demand in China.

Recall that today it was reported that India wants to conclude a long-term oil deal with Russia. The parties are discussing the currency that will be used to pay for the proposed supply of "black gold".
