The largest packaging manufacturer in Russia has announced a price increase from the new year
20th of December. /MEDIA TALK/. Joint Stock Company Packaging Systems, formerly known as Tetra Pak in Russia, has been increasing the cost of its goods and services by 9-22% since the beginning of January 2025. Kommersant writes about this today with reference to a letter sent by the company to the manufacturers.

According to the organization, the basic packaging will increase in price by 9%, and the cost of foreign lids, payment for design and maintenance services will increase by 10%, while tabs-strip tapes (combined tapes based on multilayer polyethylene) will rise in price by 22%. The increase in the cost of goods is due to a drop in the national currency and an increase in the cost of purchasing materials from abroad. The indexation is also associated with rising prices for local materials, mainly cardboard, which makes up 70% of the packaging material.
