The number of self-employed people in Russia has exceeded 12 million

In December, the agency registered 374,153 new payers of professional income tax, while 159,762 people were removed from the register. In December, entrepreneurs were charged more than 11.5 billion rubles in taxes, which is 1.81 billion more than in the previous month.

The income of the self-employed in December also increased by 33.3 billion rubles to 250.3 billion rubles. 177.4 million checks were issued. The most popular areas of activity continue to be repairs, transportation, IT and beauty services. The largest number of self-employed citizens work in Moscow (1,914 million), the Moscow region (844.9 thousand) and St. Petersburg (800.5 thousand).
