The paper press is losing popularity
February 7. /MEDIA TALK/. In 2024, the volume of sales of newspapers and magazines through retail outlets in Russia decreased by 9%, and purchases of print media by subscription - by 12%.

This is the data of the analytical center "Check Index", published by RBC. The decrease in demand is due to an increase in the cost of printed materials, but also the increasing proliferation of digital formats. In the retail sector, the average check increased by 13% over the year, reaching 284 rubles, which is 20% higher than in 2022.
