This year, the share of MFIs clients with a debt load of 50-80% should not exceed 15% in the total volume of loans, with a load of 80% - 3%. According to the plan for the development of the microfinance organizations market of the Bank of Russia, it is planned in the near future to reduce the allowable amount of overpayment to 100% of the initial loan volume (instead of the current 130%). And also expand the restriction on the issuance of "one microloan in one hand" to the entire market (now this rule applies only within one MFO).

There are currently 919 microfinance organizations in the Central Bank's register. According to experts interviewed by Kommersant, their number may decrease in the near future. As alternative sources of income, players consider corporate micro-loans, work with sole proprietors and the self-employed, as well as collection activities.
