The regions of the Russian Federation were exempted from the need to repay part of the debts on budget loans

September 27th. /MEDIA TALK/.On Friday, September 27, the government of the Russian Federation announced the exemption of the regions of the country from repayment of part of the restructured debt on budget loans. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the decision, the territories, regions and republics of Russia will be exempted from the need to repay two thirds of such debts this year. Also, according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, the specified amount of debt will be written off in 2025.

Recall that at the beginning of the year it was reported that the debts of the regions of Russia increased by 14% over the year. The total amount of debt at the end of 2023 amounted to 3.2 trillion rubles, while in 2022 it was estimated at 2.79 trillion.
