The Russian agricultural sector showed profitability of 18%
The 14th of February. /MEDIA TALK/. Compared to 2023, the average decreased by 1%. This was announced by Elena Fastova, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, at the conference "Where is the margin 2025".

Despite the recession, profitability has increased in some industries, such as livestock and dairy production. Fastova noted that agriculture showed good results in 2024: the index of physical volume of agricultural products increased by 110.5% compared to the base year of 2021. This was made possible by a record amount of government support in the amount of 665 billion rubles.

In 2025, 48 billion rubles will be allocated for preferential loans for farmers, which is 2.2 times more than in 2024. 34.1 billion rubles are provided for short-term loans (17.5 billion rubles were issued in 2024). A significant increase in allocations is envisaged for investment lending of 14.6 billion rubles, compared with 4 billion rubles in 2024.

Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture reported a 2.5-fold decrease in seed imports to Russia over the year.
