The Russian DIY market has grown by almost 20%

According to Infoline's forecast, which Vedomosti cites today, the amount of sales of household products, construction and repair work will amount to more than 8.1 trillion rubles. This is an increase of 18.8% over the previous year.

Individual housing construction, which requires a large amount of materials, has become the main driver of development. According to statistics, "The House.Russian Federation", the percentage of individual residential construction in the structure of commissioned housing for the period from January to September 2024 was 68.3% (55.4 million square meters). Experts suggest that the DIY market will continue to grow and reach 14.7 trillion rubles by 2028.

According to the Government, the price growth in the construction sector, along with the growing demand, also remains high. Since 2021, it has amounted to more than 60%, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin reported last week.
