Russian Railways is preparing for large-scale investments in the development of the railway network. According to Oleg Belozerov, the head of the company, in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel, almost 300 billion rubles will be allocated for infrastructure renovation. The plans include major repairs of 4,500 kilometers of tracks, updating automation and power supply systems, as well as improving passenger service and improving safety.

No less significant funds, 257.2 billion rubles, will be used to upgrade the park. The company plans to purchase 400 new locomotives and 239 wagons, as well as continue upgrading existing trains. Special attention is being paid to strategic projects: 116.9 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of the Eastern Landfill, 67.2 billion rubles for the Central Transport Hub, and 46 billion rubles for the construction of the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed highway.
