The trade turnover between Russia and Belarus will exceed $60 billion by the end of 2024

December 16th. /MEDIA TALK/.The mutual trade turnover within the framework of the Union State of Russia and Belarus continues to increase annually. Since 1999, it has grown 7 times and by the end of the year it should exceed the $60 billion mark. This was stated by Konstantin Burak, head of the staff of the Council of Ministers of Belarus, at the conference "The Union State: Integration, Development, trust", as quoted by TASS. At the beginning of December, mutual trade between the two countries amounted to $58 billion.

The share of products from Russia in the structure of Belarusian imports will amount to 57%, this is the maximum value for all years. According to the official, Belarusian goods also increased their share in the total volume of imports to Russia to about 10%, demonstrating a twofold increase. Burak stressed that the development of cooperation is taking place despite the external sanctions pressure on the countries.

We recently told you that Belarus is a leading country in terms of the number of foreign loans issued by Russia. The amount of its debt is $7.75 billion, which is one quarter of the total volume of loans provided by Russia.
