The trading volume on the Moscow Stock Exchange increased by 14 in a month%
January 14th. /MEDIA TALK/. The total volume of transactions on the Moscow Stock Exchange as of December 2024 reached 142.3 trillion rubles. This is 14% higher than the November level and 2% higher than the value for December 2023. The relevant data has been published by the trading platform today.

The volume of transactions in shares, depositary receipts and shares in mutual funds reached 3.8 trillion rubles. In 2024, 13 initial public offerings (IPOs) and four secondary public offerings (SPOs) of shares worth 87.5 billion rubles were held on the Moscow Stock Exchange. Two Russian companies have received a secondary listing on the Moscow Stock Exchange (they have expanded the securities trading area to other platforms).

The volume of transactions with corporate and government bonds amounted to 4.3 trillion rubles. During 2024, 247 enterprises placed 759 bond issues totaling 8.44 trillion rubles, excluding one-day bonds.

The volume of transactions on the futures market reached 11.9 trillion rubles. Brokers, as well as private and corporate investors, now have access to 35 new financial products, the underlying assets of which are stocks, precious metals and international indices.

The total volume of transactions on new financial instruments reached 95 billion rubles. Cocoa bean futures turned out to be the most in demand among the new agreements.

The volume of transactions in the financial market amounted to 110 trillion rubles, and the average volume of transactions per day was 5 trillion rubles.
