The turnover of Russian auction houses exceeded 1 billion rubles
December 2nd. /MEDIA TALK/. The annual turnover of works of art sold by the association of Russian auction houses has already amounted to 1 billion rubles. The figure does not include December auctions, where lots for a similar amount will be presented. The data is provided today by RBC with reference to the co-founder of the holding, Fedor Svetlakov.
The most expensive lots this year were at the Moscow Auction House. The painting "The Girl in the pine forest" in 1889 by the artist Ivan Shishkin was sold at a record price for the domestic market of 85 million rubles.

The association was established a year ago. It includes the Moscow and St. Petersburg Auction Houses and the Auction House of the Graphic Collectors Club.

In the summer, we told you that China has become the main buyer of works of art from Russia.
