The main increase in cargo traffic was provided by an increase in oil supplies to China — by 33%, up to 2 million tons, mainly through the ports of Murmansk, Baltic ports and direct LNG supplies from the Arctic Prirazlomnoye field of Gazprom Neft, which carried out most of the shipments.

We recently wrote that the volume of container traffic in Russia in 2024 increased by 6.4%. The main driver of growth was the ports of the Northwest, through which exports increased by 46%.
