The Yandex operating system can take a leading position in the market of television equipment

December 19th. /MEDIA TALK/. Chinese companies Haier, TCL and Huawei are discussing with Yandex the possibility of installing the software of YAHOO on all TVs exported to the Russian Federation. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to sources. Yandex partially confirmed the information to the publication, but did not name specific companies.

According to experts interviewed by Kommersant, the total share of Haier and TCL in quantitative terms at the end of 2024 is 32%. Approximately a third of all TVs sold in Russia are equipped with Yandex software, a fifth with the Salyut-TV system from Sberbank, and the remaining half are powered by Android TV.
