In October, the production of cars decreased by 6.2%, amounting to 869.23 thousand units. The number of exported products has been declining for seven months in a row, and the November figures were also not high. The Japanese carmaker shipped 173,939 vehicles abroad, 3.6% less than in November 2023. During January-November, the company sold approximately 9.254 million vehicles, which is 1.2% less than the result of the same time interval last year.
Earlier, Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda stated that the transition to electric cars would lead to job cuts in the automotive industry.
