UniCredit plans to reduce business in Russia by 2025
July 24th. /MEDIA TALK/.On Wednesday, July 24, it became known that UniCredit plans to reduce its business in Russia by 2025. This is stated in the latest report of the Italian group.

So, in the next six months, the organization intends to reduce cross—border exposure to almost zero, international payments to below 8.5 billion euros, loans minus reserves below the billion mark, and deposits below two billion euros.

UniCredit also stressed that the company's net profit in Russia in April-June fell by 33% to 116 million euros.

Recall that in mid-May, the ECB called on major European banks to accelerate their exit from Russia due to new sanctions. The regulator noted that otherwise financial institutions operating in the EU face being blacklisted and fined.
