Vladimir Putin signed a law against financial pyramids
December 13th. /MEDIA TALK/. Today, Vladimir Putin signed a law that sets penalties for illegally raising funds from citizens. The draft law is aimed at countering financial schemes that have a negative impact on the Russian financial system. Penalties for illegal financial transactions will range from 5 to 30 thousand rubles for individuals, from 20 to 50 thousand rubles for officials and individual entrepreneurs and from 300 to 500 thousand rubles for companies.

For non-compliance with the rules concerning capital raising through agreements with individuals through a public offer or by sending an offer to a wide range of people, the fines are even higher: from 30 to 50 thousand rubles for ordinary citizens, from 50 to 100 thousand rubles for employees and individual entrepreneurs, as well as from half a million to a million rubles - for legal entities.

The limitation period during which it is possible to bring to justice is one year. Fines will begin to apply after the official publication of the document.
