Volkswagen has rejected accusations of resuming car exports to Russia
August 6th. /MEDIA TALK/.On Tuesday, August 6, it became known that Volkswagen rejected accusations of resuming car exports to Russia. This was reported by TASS with reference to a representative of the concern.

The company stated that it does not supply vehicles to the Russian Federation and is doing everything possible to prevent the illegal import of Volkswagen into the country.

It should be noted that on the eve of the newspaper Die Zeit reported that the technologies of the German automaker can be used in cars of the Chinese brand Jetta, which entered the Russian market. It belongs to the PRC FAW Concern, the official partner of the European company.

The publication stressed that some Jetta models differ "only slightly" from Volkswagen models popular in Russia, such as the Tiguan and Polo.

Recall that on the eve it was reported that sales of new cars in the Russian Federation increased by 58% in the first seven months of 2024. The result was 1,003 million vehicles without mileage.
