In January 2025, translations from Chinese accounted for 27.6% of the total number of non-English video translations, an increase of 7.2% compared to January 2024. Chinese has replaced Spanish, which previously occupied the second place. These two languages accounted for about half of all video translations, not counting translations from English.

Yandex specialists also record an overall increase in interest in translations from East Asian languages, as views from translations from Chinese, Japanese and Korean account for 48.6%, which is 5.6% more than last year. This is reported by TASS with reference to the company's press service.
