According to statistics, in the first half of the year, infant mortality was at the level of 2.6 ppm.

The chief physician of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital of Tatarstan, Airat Ziatdinov, said that infant mortality is decreasing in the region. From January to June 2024, the death rate was 2.6 ppm, which is twice lower than the national average.

A year ago, the mortality rate among newborns was 3.1 ppm. This is three times lower than in 2004, the portal "Real Time" reports.
