During 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor monitored 8.3 million tons of plant products imported into Russia. During this time, 5,146 cases of contamination of goods that were not allowed to enter the country were identified. The department's staff checked 2.5 billion pieces of planting and flower materials, 29,800 tons of seeds.

The Rosselkhoznadzor also monitored export products in order to maintain Russia's image as a reliable supplier. During this period, producers shipped 438,900 tons of vegetable products to other countries, including 267,300 tons of potatoes, 70,900 tons of onions and garlic, 36,100 tons of root vegetables, 25,100 tons of cucumbers, 12,900 tons of goods and 10,700 tons of cabbage.
In addition, the agency's staff checked 68,700 shipments of goods from Belarus and 27,200 shipments of goods from Kazakhstan subject to phytosanitary control. Violations were detected in 199 shipments from Belarus and in 803 shipments from Kazakhstan, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor reports.
Recall that in 2024, 1.8 million new cars were sold in Russia.
