Izvestia: the gap between the pensions of working and unemployed in Russia has fallen below five thousand rubles
August 23rd. /MEDIA TALK/. On Friday, August 23, it became known that in July of this year the gap between the average pension of working and unemployed residents of Russia fell to 4.8 thousand rubles. Payments to workers were estimated at 18.6 thousand, to the rest — at 23.4 thousand rubles, Izvestia reported, citing data from the Social Fund.

The difference turned out to be 17% less compared to the beginning of this year, when the figure was at the level of 5.6 thousand rubles. The media added that in the six months of 2024, the average pension of working citizens increased by 4%, payments to the unemployed have hardly changed.

Recall that in early June, President Vladimir Putin proposed to resume regular pension increases for working elderly Russians. At the end of the same month, the State Duma adopted the relevant bill.
