Deputy Mayor of Yekaterinburg Andrey Kotyukov said that next year 10 billion rubles were allocated to the city budget for reform in the transport sector.
The city will fully switch to gross contracts with all carriers. At the moment, only trams and trolleybuses operate according to this model.

The organization of this system will require a large amount of investments, about 12 billion rubles. The governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, approved the reform and allocated 900 million rubles this year and another 2 billion for 2025.

Also, 10 billion has already been allocated in the city budget for next year. Part of these funds, about 6 billion rubles, will be received in the form of payment for travel through gross contracts. Another 4 billion will come in the form of income from other activities and federal aid.

Of these funds, 2 billion will be allocated for the renewal of the public transport fleet, and 10 billion will be required to support and establish the operation of public transport.

For example, the authorities plan to attract personnel by improving working conditions and increasing salaries, introduce a unified transportation management system and purchase new transport, the press service of the Yekaterinburg Administration reports.
