The head of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev. The parties discussed cooperation in various fields.
For example, the country is one of the four leaders in purchases of timber products from the Vologda region. The Governor and the ambassador discussed the creation of a joint production facility in the Vologda SEZ or the Sokol industrial Park.

In addition, Vologda agro-industrialists are interested in supplying products to Kazakhstan. For example, Vologda Dairy Plant can supply cheese and ultra-pasteurized milk, JSC Severnoye Moloko is ready to export powdered milk and Feta cheese, Sukhonsky Dairy Plant produces canned milk, cream and condensed milk. CJSC Agromyasoprom and JSC Cherepovets Meat Processing Plant are engaged in the manufacture of canned meat, and LLC Rusberry Trade can supply frozen berries.
The parties are also ready to exchange cultural projects and create joint tourism products, Georgy Filimonov said in his Telegram channel.
Recall that a special economic zone will be built in the Vologda Region in 2025.
