Vologda City Hall has approved a comprehensive territorial development project, which will demolish 60 dilapidated and dilapidated buildings on the right bank of the Vologda River.
The program will be implemented gradually over 15 years. It will affect the territories within Gagarin, Republican, Pankratov, Petin, Preobrazhensky and Zapadnaya streets. It will also include some buildings located on Goncharnaya, Srednaya, Detskaya, Cherepovetskaya, Narodnaya Streets and in Narrow Lane.

The total area of the territory is 190,000 square meters. Of these, 18,000 square meters are to be settled. The project involves the synchronization of residential and social buildings, updating engineering systems.
The territory of the KTR is planned to be functionally zoned, to build a school for 1,200 students, a kindergarten for 350 pupils and to erect multi-apartment housing with additional education facilities. Most of the business and cultural facilities will be located on Leningradskaya Street, which connects the district with the central part of the city.
The integrated territorial development project involves the construction of 170,000 square meters of residential real estate and a new building that will house the regional Center for Folk Culture and a Children's Art School, Komsomolskaya Pravda Vologda reports.
