According to Mikhail Sylyka, Deputy Governor of the Vologda Region, the exterior of the main city shrine was transformed last year. During the work, specialists plastered and painted the facade, inserted new windows and doors, restored the dome, installed domes and crosses.

The work is being carried out on the initiative of Governor Georgy Filimonov. 35 million rubles were allocated from the regional treasury for the restoration. The work continues, the press service of the Vologda Region Government reports.
It should be recalled that more than 1,000 residents of the Vologda Region have studied under the national project "Demography".
