The traditional Christmas ice hockey tournament has ended in the Mordovian town of Kovylkino. The competitions were held at the Ice Arena, and the teams of the Kovylkinsky district took part in them: Sputnik, Zvezda, Comet and Saturn. The winner of the tournament was the hockey players of Sputnik. In the final match against Komet, they won with a score of 5:1.

The best players of the tournament were: defender Andrey Kryganov, striker Vladimir Shukshin and goalkeeper Ilya Usanov. Evgeny Simonov became the best useful player.
The Christmas hockey tournament in Kovylkino is always a celebration for players and fans and an important event in the life of the district. The awards were presented to the participants of the competition by Nadezhda Tsibizova, Deputy head of the Kovylkinsky municipal district administration.
