It should be noted that the company is the first in the field of ferrous metallurgy in Russia to implement the project in the format of a special investment contract. If the company invests in strategically important developments, it provides for preferential taxation.

As Artyom Zdunov noted, the Mordovian team helped VKM-Steel realize its long-standing dream. The production lines of the new workshop will be located in premises that have been empty for more than twenty years. "The new workshop was lifted almost from the ruins – now a large-scale reconstruction is underway. The plans include a new investment project, the plant is already preparing a justification for the Ministry of Industry and Trade. For our part, we will fully support the company," the Head of the Republic emphasized.
About 900 million rubles will be invested in the expansion of VKM-Steel's production facilities. The production of medium and small castings is planned to increase by six thousand tons per year. Over 120 new jobs will also be created during the first stage of the project, and more than 100 vacancies will appear in subsequent stages.

At the moment, modern equipment has already been purchased and commissioning is underway. The project is approximately 80% ready. The increase in output will reduce the shortage of cast iron and steel in the Russian market and increase the competitiveness of VKM-Steel.
