In the Volokolamsk district, summer resident Elena Shurakhova has grown a pumpkin in her garden, which already weighs more than 400 kilograms. At the same time, the vegetable continues to grow and perhaps in autumn its weight will reach half a ton.

A summer resident bought pumpkin seeds on the Internet in winter. Of the two, four sprouts turned out. Three of them turned out to be vegetables of about one hundred kilograms, and the fourth became the record holder. Elena says that she herself did not expect such a result, she had never seen such huge pumpkins before. Now the giant vegetable is a local attraction. They like to take pictures with him, and the children climb on the pumpkin and roll off it like a slide, says the summer resident.

Elena is not going to stop at what she has achieved and plans to grow an even larger pumpkin next year.
