This year, almost 170 representatives of the agricultural sector took part in the event. Opening the Second Congress of Farmers, the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, stressed that today farms produce 15% of the gross agricultural product, which is a significant indicator. He also noted that rural support is the basis of the country's food security.

In this regard, funds from the republican budget will be allocated to support the villagers for subsidies for the purchase of commercial livestock of heifers or cows. Such assistance will amount to 80 thousand rubles for the purchase of one cow. Moreover, if a child is born in a farmer's family in the year of receiving a subsidy, then the full amount of the cost of buying livestock is compensated to him. As Artyom Zdunov noted, birth rate support is a strategic task of the republic's leadership.
In addition, beekeepers will receive support from the region. It is planned to reimburse part of the costs for the production and sale of bee packages. Thanks to the support, beekeepers will be able to choose the most honey-bearing insect breeds. Also, the Republic of Moldova will partially retain subsidies in the field of crop production (in the country, this support measure has been canceled since 2025).

It is planned to develop cooperation with farmers of Belarus.
Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Moldova Anton Ilyushin, who also participated in the Farmers' Congress, thanked the Head of Mordovia for the comprehensive support of the agricultural sector.
In turn, representatives of Mordovian farms said that thanks to the region's help, many farms were able to increase production and reach their design capacity.

We should add that on the eve of the Second Farmers' Congress, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Moldova Anton Ilyushin visited agricultural enterprises in the Krasnoslobodsk region. During the trip, he talked with the heads of Novokarginskoye, Svobodny Trud machine and tractor park and Kulikovo. The farmers told the Minister about their successes and shared what support measures are needed for rural workers.
