Athletics competitions were held in the Republic of Moldova. Every year in early September, dozens of athletes come to the village of Torbeevo to take part in traditional races dedicated to the memory of Alexander Golikov.

Alexander Golikov is an Honored coach of Russia and Honored Teacher of the Republic of Mordovia, Master of Sports of the USSR in athletics. He has educated more than one master of sports of international class, and his students have repeatedly become winners and prize-winners of international tournaments, as well as national champions. The competition was attended by family members and colleagues of Alexander Golikov.

, athletes of different ages — from schoolchildren to pensioners — competed in races in various age categories. The winners were awarded medals and certificates of honor. A field kitchen was organized for the participants and guests of the competition, where they could refresh themselves and recuperate after the races.
