During the first nine months of this year, Georgia purchased a record amount of natural gas from Russia. Deliveries from January to September exceeded $90 million in monetary terms. This is the maximum volume since 2009.
So in September 2024, the volume of purchases amounted to 589,800 dollars. This is 1.7 times less than in August, but 33% more than in September a year earlier.

In 2023, Russia sold $110.3 million worth of gas to Tbilisi for export. It is reported that since 2020, the country has imported raw materials only from Russia and Azerbaijan.
Baku has supplied Georgia with natural gas worth 160.2 million dollars since the beginning of this year, and a year ago the volume of purchases amounted to 313.5 million, RIA Novosti reports.
Recall that in October, Russia sent abroad the maximum volume of LNG this year.
