In Chelyabinsk, due to the introduction of new trolleybuses on the routes, the number of passengers by the end of the year will reach 10 million people. This is 70% more than before the introduction of new cars. Chelyabinsk trolleybuses make more than 650 flights every day.

This year, a new depot No. 1 was opened in Chelyabinsk on Artillery Street. It was built on an area of 1.6 hectares using modern technologies. The depot was the first in Russia to be built in 20 years. It operates 50 modern trolleybuses "SINARA-6254".
In addition, about 95% of the trolleybus contact network and 24 traction substations were updated in the city, two substations were built on new sections of the contact network in the AMZ and the north-west. Depot No. 2 on the Sverdlovsky tract is under reconstruction.
Since 2021, 59 new red trolleybuses have been brought to the city. They were purchased under a concession with Sinara - Urban Transport Solutions Chelyabinsk LLC, the <url> portal reports.
