As reported on the official website of the RF IC for the Republic of Mordovia, the investigation of the criminal case against the veterinarian of the regional animal disease control station has been completed. The man was charged with accepting a bribe on two counts.

As investigators established, the doctor received a reward from two businessmen in the amount of 34,800 rubles for having issued the necessary sanitary documents for meat products, which they then sold. In the first case, the veterinarian made documents with deliberately false information about the transportation of products in an expedited manner. The entrepreneur transported the meat in the trunk of his personal car, and not according to the prescribed rules. And in the second case, the doctor issued the documents without conducting a full examination.
During the investigation, a sufficient evidence base was collected and now the materials have been submitted to the court for consideration on the merits. The accused has fully admitted his guilt.
