In 2024, about 2,400 families in the republic used these funds to purchase living space or erect a personal living space. 1,740 families used the certificate to repay a loan or down payment for housing, and 660 owners of maternity capital changed their living spaces for the better without attracting borrowed funds.

Note that maternity capital allows families not only to buy ready-made housing, but also to build their own house. The funds can be used for housing construction on their own or with the involvement of a construction company. You can also reimburse the costs of erecting an existing building.
Vladimir Vasilkin, Managing Director of the SFR Office for the Republic of Mordovia, explained that it is possible to use maternity capital to increase the level of housing comfort only after the child reaches the age of three. However, there are certain situations where funds can be used immediately after the birth or adoption of a child. For example, if the parents want to pay off the main amount of the mortgage debt or make a down payment.
Property acquired or erected with the involvement of maternity capital must be registered as the common property of all family members. The distribution of shares takes place by agreement of the parties.
To apply for the use of maternity capital, you can use the Public Services portal, contact the customer service of the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia or the multifunctional center.
If parents plan to use the funds of the maternity capital to purchase housing with a mortgage, then they need to contact the bank where they want to get a loan. The Bank will independently send the application and the necessary documents to the Department of the Social Fund of Russia for the Republic of Mordovia via electronic communication channels.
Such cooperation has already been established with seven credit institutions operating in the republic: Sberbank, VTB, Rosselkhoznadzor, DOM.RF JSC, Gazprombank, Sovcombank and Alfa-Bank.
Since the new year, social security payments for children and pregnant women have increased in Mordovia.
