The deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Mordovia told about the results of the work of law enforcement agencies this year at a briefing. In particular, it was announced that in the field of drug trafficking in the region in eight months, the police identified 668 crimes. Of these, 602 are classified as serious and especially serious, 565 are related to sales.

At the same time, compared to last year, 14.3% more criminal charges were brought against those who committed the sale of prohibited substances. The police seized more than 12.5 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances from illegal trafficking. At the moment, almost a hundred cases have already been sent to court. Among those brought to criminal responsibility, 9 people are foreign citizens.
