Nizhny Novgorod City Hall will impose a ban on electric scooters on the central city streets of Bolshaya Pokrovskaya and Verkhnevolzhskaya. The decision to limit driving on these devices was made at a meeting of the public council at the regional Legislative Assembly. The ban will take effect from 2025.

The restrictions will apply to both rental and personal electric scooters. The mayor's office wants to renegotiate agreements with kicksharing companies on new terms next year, Kommersant Privolzhye reports.
