The Mordovian RM Rail company, which produces freight rolling stock, presented its latest development: unique insulated wagons. The autonomous refrigerated wagon and thermos wagon were inspected by the Head of the region, Artyom Zdunov.

Such trains are a promising area of RM Rail's development strategy today. Wagons for temperature-controlled railway transportation are in high demand in Russia now, and volumes are constantly growing. Previously, demand was covered by imports, the development of the Mordovian enterprise will reduce the country's import dependence on this issue, as well as Mordovian developments are distinguished by the best technological data. The refrigerated wagon can carry loads weighing up to 60 tons, the refrigeration and heating system is capable of operating for 20 days without stopping. The carrying capacity of the thermos car is 64 tons, it will be able to keep the desired temperature for ten days. Both models are ready for mass production.
Artyom Zdunov emphasized that RM Rail occupies a key place in the region's economy. In 2024, the company implemented five innovative projects.

"Everything related to isothermal rolling stock is very relevant now. It is necessary to move goods and food, so domestic refrigerators and thermoses are fundamentally important products for our economy," the Head of the Republic said.
