There are several types of competitions in kyokushin, and one of them is kata. This is a set of movements that includes punches, stands, and blocks. The jury evaluates the force of the blow, its power and accuracy. The participants note that kyokushin is a difficult discipline in which you need to monitor your breathing, the sharpness of your strokes, and the position of your body in space.

"Kyokushin in our republic is one of the most dynamically developing sports disciplines," said Nikita Larkov, Minister of Sports of Mordovia. There are about 2.5 thousand people in the region who practice this type of karate.
