In 2024, 443 in vitro fertilization procedures were performed in the region, which is already more than planned for the whole year. This service is available to women who have difficulty conceiving.
During the medical examination program for women of reproductive age, close attention was paid to their reproductive health. Thus, over 49 thousand women from the region were examined. In addition, more than 10,000 girls aged 15 to 17 were examined by specialists, including gynecologists.

There are also special institutions in Mordovia that provide medical and social support to expectant mothers. In 2024, 236 women sought advice on termination of pregnancy. All of them received competent expert advice. Some of the women then decided to keep the pregnancy.
