In the Kominternovsky district of Voronezh, 1300 new trees and 800 shrubs are planned to be planted instead of the removed old green spaces. Moreover, if the weather permits, experts will do this by the end of 2024. The mayor of the city, Sergey Petrin, told about this in his Telegram channel.
The contractor, who carried out a large-scale reconstruction on the territory, was forced to remove some of the plants along 60th Army Street, including those plantings that had already completed their life cycle.

Now specialists will carry out large-scale landscaping here. It is planned to plant mountain ash, birch, chestnut, maple, catalpa, acacia and other plants. Trees and bushes will decorate not only the future understudy of Moskovsky Prospekt, but also the streets that are located nearby.
If the weather does not deteriorate, the plants will be planted next week, the mayor said. The specialists of the City Department of Ecology have already agreed on almost 700 places for future plantings. Work will begin on the streets of the 60th Army, Vladimir Nevsky, General Lizyukov, Marshal Zhukov, Kholzunov, the 60th anniversary of the Komsomol. Rowan trees and maples will be planted mainly here.
According to the gardeners, now is the most favorable time for planting. Trees and shrubs are in a state of biological rest (in which most of the physiological processes of plants are suspended, allowing them to survive changes in conditions – ed.). Accordingly, new green spaces adapt faster in the spring. In order to make it even easier for seedlings to survive the changes, they will be planted with a large lump of earth.
