The fact that the number of women who come to give birth from other regions is growing in Mordovia, Minister of Health Oleg Markin told at a meeting with the head of the region. According to him, 189 nonresident children were born in maternity hospitals of the republic last year, and 144 children have already been born in the first six months alone. Most of the women in labor come from the Volga Federal District. According to the head of the department, this is due to the high level of medical care in Mordovia.
