The head of Tyva, Vladislav Khovalyg, ordered to strengthen information and preventive work with residents of private houses. This is due to the fact that with the onset of the heating season, the number of carbon monoxide poisoning increases. Last year, 9 children died for this reason.
Rescuers began to bypass the private sector in order to have an explanatory conversation with residents. After the end of the conversation, people are left with memos. There are also classes in schools in the region, where they talk about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning, signs of poisoning and first aid.

Separate work in Tyva is carried out with large families and low-income citizens. Rescuers install combined detectors in their homes that respond to smoke and carbon monoxide. Smart devices will give a signal warning of a threat.
In 2024, the Ministry of Labor of the Republic purchased 1,500 such devices. Further, experts plan to check the devices for serviceability and operability every 3 months, the press service of the Government of Tyva said.
Earlier we wrote that the head of Tyva proposed to cancel New Year's corporate parties.
