More than 300 athletes from 40 regions of Russia came to the capital of Mordovia for the Athletics Championship among the deaf. Within the framework of the championship, the winners were determined in two age categories: under 18 and under 20.

11 sets of awards were awarded at the Russian championship. The team from St. Petersburg won the 4x100-meter race, and the Moscow Region won the 4x400—meter race. The Sverdlovsk region became the first among the girls in both relay races.
Samir Baichurin, a runner from Mordovia, took bronze in the 1500-meter race.
